Art museum and Performing arts center
65,000 sq.ft. (6,000 m²); 1,500 seats
This art museum is part of a masterplan scheme for a new cultural arts complex in the heart of the city of Sacramento that includes a performing arts center and a high-rise mixed-use tower. The museum and the performing arts center are curved in plan to form an elliptical park between them. This open area will provide a vibrant public space and create a valuable community amenity. The sculptural and dynamic architecture is intended to make the project a distinctive cultural landmark for the region.
